The Junior Fundraising Am-Am proved to be a highly successful day with £500 raised for the Junior Section.  Junior organiser Pat Jones chose the sunniest day of the year for the teams to battle it out round Greetham Valley's Lakes course.  Each team contained 1junior and 3 ladies from the County's clubs.  The day finished very successfullywith a meal, a prizegiving and the photo below.

Lincolnshire Girls Win Again

Lincolnshire Girls won the Midland North County Finals at Greetham Valley Golf Club. Beating Staffordshire 7 matches to 5 matches. The 8 single matches were halved 4 all, with the losing matches going to the last 2 holes.

The team beat Leicestershire 6 matches to nil at Cold Ashby GC.

The Team: Jessica Schiele(Captain), Jessica Wilcox, Kirsty Condon, Megan Illingworth, Becky Lynes and Hannah Edmunds. Reserves Hannah Vaughan and Harriet Wilson.

This takes Lincolnshire through to the North Midland Final to be played at Greetham Valley on the 27th September.

County Girls v Nottinghamshire Girls

The county girls played their first league match of the season. It was a very close hard fought match, which Lincolnshire won 4 games to 2. A half on Sunday 12^th July against Leicestershire at Cold Ashby GC will put them through to the finals v the West Side of the Midlands. Good Luck Girls.

The girls played against Yorkshire today (26 May 09) at Normanby Hall Golf Club
Unfortunately we lost 6 1/2 -1 1/2. 
There were some very good close matches and our girls tried their 'little hearts out' against a very talented Yorkshire team.
It was all good experience and I would like to thank Normanby Hall GC for their hospitality and for affording us courtesy of the course.

SPRING STABLEFORD BLANKNEY

The 2009 Spring Stableford was held at Blankney Golf Club on 14 April. With an excellent entry of 25 girls.
We managed to hold 3 competitions within the main competition to allow for all golfing abilities.
The main County Competition was for girls with a handicap of 35 or below.
This was won by
1st Hannah Vaughan-16 (Burghley Park GC) on a count back from
2nd Bethan Watson-14 (Blankney GC)  - They both had 39 points. (Hannah had 21 on the back nine to Bethan's 20.)
3rd - Harriet Wilson-14 (Lincoln GC),   38 points
4th - Jessica Wilcox -2 (Blankney GC),  37 points
5th- Katheryn Cook-35 - Sleaford,  36 points

We held a competition with girls on a handicap of 36 +
1st Kirsty Wright - (Woodhall Spa GC), 33 points
2nd Jasmine Roberts -(Woodhall Spa GC), 28 points
3rd Alex Jeffries -( Sudbrook Moor GC),  27 points

We also held a competition over 13 holes (for girls who had not yet played a full 18 holes)
