Spring Meeting at Holme Hall

 Lincolnshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association

Open Day held at Holme Hall GC on May 8th 2018

One hundred and twelve ladies played a Betterball Stableford in beautiful sunny weather. The course was in excellent condition as the poor green staff had worked on the bank holiday to get it ready for us.

Holme Hall were very generous hosts providing starters, raffle ticket sellers and a superb half way house.

The winners of the Chaplin Trophy with 42 points were Pauline Smith and Jane Cannon from Cleethorpes Golf Club.

Maggie Muir, Captain 2018

The full results have been posted on the website.

SPRING BB

The start sheet for the Spring BB at Blankney Golf Club on 23rd April has been posted on the website.

Lincolnshire Veteran Ladies Golf Association

Spring Better-Ball held at Blankney Golf Club, Monday April 23rd

For South and Central West Regions

The day began on a sober note as many of the Blankney ladies attended the funeral service of friend and fellow golfer, Jan Heywood. Jan lost her fight with the Big C after a brave, three year battle.

One hundred and two ladies played a Betterball Stableford in relatively calm weather given the past few weeks. The course was in good order although it was a close run thing. The second hole had been closed until the weekend because of flooding.

Jane Cowan from Kirton Holme Golf Club scored a hole in one on the seventh and she was presented with a momento of the occasion by Pam Shepherd.

The winners of the Chaplin Trophy with 40 points were Jennifer Pike and Angela Roper from Spalding.

Maggie Muir, Captain 2018.
